Guyana defeated Dominica by eight wickets in the second round of the Regional Women’s T\20 tournament in Grenada yesterday.
Dominica were never allowed to score freely after they batted first and were restricted to 70-9 off their allotted overs. Tremaine Smartt was the pick of the bowlers with 3-7. Guyana then romped to victory in 7.4 overs with June Ogle top scoring with 27 not out, while Shemaine Campbell supported with 26.
Jamaica made light work of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) winning by 90 runs. (Duckworth Lewis method). Jamaica took first strike and rattled up 139-4 in 20 overs. SVG replied with 39-9 in 17 overs.
Trinidad and Tobago beat Grenada by 100 runs.
