Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Donald Ramotar has approved the promotion
Chief-of-Staff, Commodore Gary Best
of Chief-of-Staff of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), Commodore Gary Best to the rank of Rear Admiral. The Government Information Agency (GINA) reported yesterday.
The swearing in ceremony will take place tomorrow at the Office of the President.
A Rear Admiral is a naval commissioned officer rank above that of a Commodore.
