Persons who wish to apply to the University of Guyana have until midnight tonight, Sunday August 18, 2013, to do so.
Kashka St. Hillaire, the institute’s Assistant Registrar said that after an opening ceremony to usher in a hopefully productive 2013-2014 academic year, on Friday August 23, the first semester will commence on Monday August 26, 2013.
The ceremony will be held at 17:00hrs at the George Walcott Lecture Theatre. Both the new and continuing students are invited.
Hillaire, via press release, reminded that those who had applied to university pending the outcome of their Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examination need to take in their results in order to complete their application.
Persons can visit the UG website- www.uog.edu.gy to view the available programmes.
“The University of Guyana congratulates all the successful students who wrote the 2013 CSEC examinations, on completing this first stage of their future career,” the statement added.
