The Guyana Amateur Swimming Association (GASA) will be hosting a FINA Coaching Clinic and Level 1 Certification Course.
The Coaching Clinic will start next Monday, August 19th and run until the 28th while the Certification Course will be conducted from August 29th to 31st, respectively.
According to a GASA release, no fees will be charged for these courses, but snacks/meals can be provided, for a cost, at the request of participants.
Facilitating the two programmes will be Mr. Rick Powers who ran last years’ Clinic and have run several FINA Coaching Clinics around the world.
Interested persons are asked to contact the local governing body, GASA, via email address [email protected] When registering, persons are asked to copy those emails to Elke Rodrigues: ([email protected]) and Karen Pilgrim ([email protected])
This will be the first time that FINA certification is being offered in Guyana and all swimming Coaches, Instructors, Senior Swimmers, Parents and persons interested in learning more about coaching are encouraged to attend.
