Despite missing out on the FIFA Beach Football World Cup Qualifiers in Nassau Bahamas, administrators of the Cool Runnins Beach Football Club continue to harness the skills of their charges and will commence its first outdoor activity with a Teach Them Young beach soccer camp scheduled to get underway on Monday August 10-20next. One of the executives, Rollin Tappin, said that organizers aim to kick start the development of the sport at the grass root level and the programme caters for participants of both sexes between the ages 9-15.
Participants will be introduced to the intricacies of the sport among other literacy and numeracy topics and organizers are optimistic that at the end of the proceedings those participants would accrue a better understanding of the sport.
Several individuals and entities have rendered support to the success of the initiative including CEO of Major’s Sports Store, Aubrey Major, Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport and the US Embassy.
