A hard worker with a passion for fashion, Michelle Playter has been contributing to the local entertainment industry since she participated in the 2004 Miss Guyana Universe pageant.
She is now the official make-up artist for the Guyana leg of the Limacol Caribbean Premier League (LCPL) T20 cricket tournament which bowled off last night at Providence.
Michelle joined the behind-the scenes LPCL team when she was picked to provide make-up for the Limacol girls for the three nights of action in Guyana.
In 2002 Michelle began her journey towards fulfilling her dreams in the fashion Industry and since then she has won the Aubrey’s Miss photogenic Television contest and modeled at fashion shows for several of Guyana’s top designers including Sonia Noel, Derrick Moore, Michelle Cole and Roger Gary.
She is now an established make-up artist, something she has been doing for the past 10 years.
Michelle was one of the make-up artists for Sonia Noel’s Guyana Fashion Weekend, Wedding Expo, the Miss Guyana Universe pageant and several weddings.
The versatile young woman, who was born on CARICOM day 34 years ago, loves singing and participated in a recent National Song competition. Michelle still does catwalk modeling but her main contribution to the fashion arena is as a make-up artist.
