Ashkay Homraj slammed a fine century as Guyana grabbed first innings points from the Windward Islands in the third round of the Regional U-19 three day tournament yesterday in at Conaree St. Kitts.
Guyana resumed on 323-9 and progress to 334 before they were bowled out. Akshay Homraj stroked 100 while Tagenarine Chanderpaul 66, Shawn Pereira 47 and Brian Sattaur 46 supported well. Edwards claimed 3-81 and Gabriel 2-78. Homraj century came in 151 minutes off 103 balls and contained eleven fours and three sixes.
Pereira picked up 4 wickets in 4 balls as Windwards were bowled out for 235 after being placed on 234-5 to hand Guyana a 99 runs lead. George led with 48 while Benjamin and Gabriel made 22 each.
Batting a second time Guyana lost Shimron Hetymer (00) who was run out and Brian Sattaur(00) to be 2 wickets down with out a run on the board, but Tagenarine Chanderpaul 28 * and Pereira 3 *saw them to the close at 42-3 in 23 overs, leading by 141.
