The Linden Secondary Schools Under-19 basketball championship final is set for today at the Mackenzie Sports Club Hard Court featuring the unbeaten Christianburg/Wismar Secondary (Multi) and Wisburg in what is anticipated to be a thrilling climax from 16:00hrs.
Third place rivalry brings together 2012 champions Linden Technical Institute and Linden Foundation Secondary from 14:30hrs.
Recently, the 2013 championship jerseys, which were donated by the founder of the championship, USA based Linden Alphonso, and which will be worn by the new champions were handed over to the organizers, the Linden Amateur Basketball Association.
The other sponsors are EURON Equipment Repairs, Marlon Josiah, Orin Louison, Linden Foundation of New Jersey, Two Brothers Gas Station, Banks DIH Limited and Lennox Allicock.
Maxie Stephens donated eleven of the twelve individual prizes including the Most Valuable Player of the final, Best Rebounder, Best Offensive Player and Most Disciplined team among others.
The tournament bounced off in April but unforeseen challenges would have curtailed the smooth flow but it will end today.
