As administrators of the Fruta Football Club (FFC) continue to address developmental activities towards the improvement of members of their institution, they have managed to woo the support of Ganesh Parts, distributors of BKT Tyres and Sissons Paints, High and Princes Streets, Georgetown.
Mr. Forde gratefully accepts the gift from Mr. Persaud at the latter individual’s High Street office yesterday morning; Mr. Gilbert is 2nd R.
Yesterday morning, President of the Fruta Football Club, Wayne Forde visited that business place where its proprietor, Roop Persaud, donated 25 high quality footballs for training and tournament use by the footballers. Mr. Forde was accompanied by the coach and the Secretary of the FFC, Sampson Gilbert and Daniel Thomas respectively and several of the club’s youth footballers.
“This is the first time that my firm is making such a contribution to the club,” admitted Mr. Persaud. He further explained that he was influenced by the efforts of administrators of Fruta conquerors to engage their charges in wholesome activity. “So my contribution is merely an extension of their objectives to provide the type of activity that promotes the development of the youths while keeping them away from nefarious activities,” stressed Mr. Persaud.
Mr. Forde was indeed grateful for the gift and thanked his benefactor. “I regard this gesture as the beginning of a long, lasting and beneficial relationship with Ganesh Parts,” he said. The Fruta Conquerors President also said that he will make every effort to ensure that his charges demonstrate the requisite qualities to enhance the image of Ganesh Parts.
Further, Mr. Forde intimated that his administrators are currently putting the modalities in place for a U-15 tournament and would be soliciting the chivalry of the businessman towards it success. He also encouraged other members of the business community to emulate Mr. Persaud’s benevolence.
