The Guyana Police Force is seeking Carlton Akeem Bourne for questioning in relation to the death of Winston Ragnauth. The victim was discovered dead on November 07, 2012.
Ragnauth called ‘Tony’ was found with his throat slit at his home at Whim, Corentyne, after his grocery shop had been broken into.
Bourne is described to be of African descent, dark complexion and is medium built.
The police are asking anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Carlton Akeem Bourne to contact them on telephone numbers 225-6411, 226-6978, 225-2227, 333-2151 to 3, 333-2191, 337-2225, 911 or the nearest police station.
Based on previous reports, Ragnauth’s reputed wife Zaira Ally, her son related to her that a policeman went to purchase something from Mr. Ragnauth’s shop which would normally open early in the morning. The shop was open, but the police got no answer from Mr. Ragnauth.
The rank then went to ask Constable Emmanuel Ragnauth if his father had left his shop open, because he got no answer from him.
Between 07:00 and 07:30 hrs Constable Ragnauth left to check on his father when he made the gruesome discovery. He immediately alerted his mother, other relatives and the police.
The neighbours said that they noticed nothing strange.
Kaieteur News understands that Mr. Ragnauth was robbed prior to his death and one of the bandits served a jail term for the robbery.
