New Amsterdam Technical Institute (NATI) made their intentions known that they are a force to be reckoned with when they hammered an underprepared and hapless Port Mourant Secondary (PMS) 22-0 when play in the Digicel Schools Football Championships continued in the Ancient County of Berbice at the Skeldon Community Centre ground.
The NATI lads completely dominated proceedings from the first whistle against PMS which fielded only eight players, underlining their unpreparedness for this encounter.
NATI was in no mood to spare their opponents and they went about the job of taking care of business in a professional manner. By the end of the first half, NATI were up 14-0, never allowing their opponents any breathing space.
The rampant NATI unit was up and running as early as the first minute when Marvin Apolo found the back of the nets for the first of his two goals.
Shamar Richards soon took over, blasting home seven goals. Jarrel Walters and Diswan Williams were also in prolific form finding the back of the nets four times apiece while Jamal Walters hammered in three.
Ronnison Mitchel and Michael Vauhgn with one each also joined in the goal party.
NATI is expected to receive stiffer opposition in their next match when they come up against the much tougher Guysuco Training Centre on Sunday at the same venue.
However the competition continues today when last year Regional champion Tutorial Academy Secondary School (TASS) who drew the bye comes up against the rampant Orealla Secondary in a second round fixture at the Skeldon ground.
