Irfaat fly to Canada wid Donald and Gerry and Clive and Kit and Kit wife and everybody who coulda walk and who got anything to do wid tourism. De message was that Guyana serious about tourism but de country ain’t even got a plane.
Dem boys seh that when Irfaat and he tourism team was going to Canada dem had to wait till Donald sit down in he seat. Then it was “on you marks, get set, go” fuh get a seat pun de plane.
Guyana in a bad way and it promoting tourism. Is now dem boys understand why Kit and he colleagues trying wid boat.
A man wanted to come home fuh a funeral and he couldn’t get a plane. Another man looking fuh a fare that gun suit he pocket. He find one fuh US$750 and he smile till he realize that he gun tek 30 hours fuh travel between New York and Georgetown. That is de tourism that Guyana offering. And dem boys seh that de people who organizing can’t even organize dem own life.
A Guyana man who dem run out of de country planning to save dem. He had to go to Jamaica fuh start up he plane and even then dem tek a year and a day to approve him to fly to Guyana. In fact, if Delta didn’t pull out this man woulda never get permission to transport Guyanese.
After Delta lef and de man apply, Donald and he whole Cabinet put dem knee pun de ground and dem give thanks. Some of dem cry because dem see a light at de end of de tunnel.
Is hell to pay if this Guyanese charge de same thing wha de Trinidad airplane charging right now. Then that would be a sandwich. But Irfaat seh that lightning don’t strike twice in de same place. He mean that two airline can’t charge dear.
Talk half and pray fuh a break.
