Former multiple-times national champion Norman Madhoo showed his class after playing unbeaten last Friday when the Guyana Darts Association staged the Peter Baker-sponsored Tournaments, at Clerico House, Waterloo and Quamina Streets.
In the Draw Doubles, Madhoo partnering with Anthony Bissoondyal, eliminated the combination of Sudeshpersaud Fitzgerald/Bryan James in the semi-finals, before capturing the final from Luis Ramirez-Merlano/Lallchand Rambahrose.

The Ladies Singles was won by Rosetta Hiralall from Shaundell Hyles, who registered an upset over Hemwattie Amyan in their semi-final encounter. Hiralall progressed to the final at the expense of Mary Correia.
In the Men’s Singles Ramirez-Merlano gained a walk over from Anil Lachhman at the quarter-final stage only to meet Norman Madhoo, who eliminated him en route to the final.
Colin France, the other finalist had some close games which he won 2/1 from Andrew Balchand in their quarter-final scrap and Lallchand Rambahrose in the semi-final.
In the final, France proved no match for the in-form Madhoo, succumbing 3/0 to give the former national champion an exciting holiday gift.
