A young couple and an infant were air-dashed to the city yesterday with burns following a mishap at Black Water, Barima, North West District.
Hospital sources identified the victims as 17-year-old Sherri David; Kevin Savoury, 30, and five-month-old Karissa.
According to reports, a nephew of the couple was lighting a fire when he accidentally poured gasoline on the flames. The couple and their baby were burned in the ensuing explosion, with the mother being the most severely injured.
They are being treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
