Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) batsman Wasim Haslim stroked a stylish 96 as his team, Classic Cricket Club (CCC) defeated Sher-e-Punjabs by 166 runs in the Etobicoke League 50 over tournament recently in Canada.
CCC batted first and posted 304-9 with Haslim slamming ten fours and four sixes in his first appearance for the club. Harrichand Johal took 2-19 and Sukhdeep Brar 2-60 for Sher-a-Punjabs who were bowled out for 138 in their 50 overs.
Arwinder Gill made 59; Jonerick Sookdeo captured 5-14 from 5 overs for the winners.
