The first graduation of the MBA programme that the Australian Institute of Business operates in collaboration with Nations University will be held on Tuesday, June 11th at 7pm in the Savannah Suite at the Pegasus Hotel.
Two of the leading academics from the Australian Institute of Business (AIB), Emeritus Professor Kevin O’Brien and Professor Rod Oxenbury will be attending and speaking at the Graduation.
Twelve persons will be graduating with the MBA degree, three others will receive the Graduate Diploma in Management and one person will receive the Graduate Certificate in Management.
Those graduating include bank managers, entrepreneurs and persons working at Caricom, Ministry of Health, GuySuCo, Digicel, Guyana Power and Light, Laparkan, and the Guyana Tourism Authority.
This first batch started their MBA studies in October 2011. Nations University is now onto its fifth MBA intake. More than 110 persons have joined the programme to date.
One aspect of the MBA is the production of a research paper on a local issue. Five of these studies were of such quality
