Randolph Josiah, the 63-year-old man accused of brutally knifing to death his teenaged stepdaughter, made his second appearance before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs at the Vreed -en- Hoop Magistrates Court yesterday.
However, the matter was briefly heard, as prosecutors notified the court that statements were not ready.
The case involving murder accused Randolph Josiah is now listed for July 29, when reports are expected to be made.
The cold-blooded murder of 14 year old Fenella Samuels allegedly by the hands of her stepfather, sparked outrage at Plastic City and neighbouring Vreed -en –Hoop, West Coast Demerara communities. Autopsy reports revealed that the teen died after sustaining at least 21 stab wounds to virtually every region of her body. Her attacker used a long knife to inflict the wounds.
Her mother, Donna Rose, was also injured. Josiah was detained the following day on the Vreed-en-Hoop public road.
