Amid concerns raised regarding the effect that the recent slide in gold prices would have on Guyana’s economy, MACORP and the Guyana Gold and Diamond Miners Association (GGDMA) are aiming to improve the management of the equipment being used in the gold industry.
During a meeting of the two entities, discussions were led on measures to be taken in order to reduce operating costs for all Caterpillar equipment used in the industry. Commitments were also made towards enhancing skills training with focus on equipment and maintenance operation.
