The final leg of the GT&T Jingle and Song Competition is set for June 14 at the National Cultural Centre, the phone company announced yesterday.
According to GT&T, both the Bollywood and English contestants will compete in mixed genres as they continue to vie for the title of this year’s Guyana Star.
Those competing in the final of the Bollywood segment include Yeataindra Singh,
Andy Rambarack, Reshma Persaud, Devchandra Ramrattan, Bibi Halima Khan,
Sasenarine Hitnarayan, Harresh Singh, Bunty Singh, Danishwar Bisessar and Erick Sukrah.
In the finals for the English segment are Darren Benjamin, Ryan Hoppie, Lemuel Chestor, Dorian Obermuller, T.‘Shanna Cort, Lerone Souvenir, Michael Small, Natasha Yhap, Diana Chapman and Edward Perez.
GT&T said that tickets for the event will go on sale from Monday and cost $1,500 and $1,000.
Close to 1000 persons from across the country auditioned for the competition in March this year.
The winners in the two segments will each be presented a motorcar along with $1M dollars each.
The competition has emerged to be the country’s biggest reality singing competition.
