United States Ambassador to Guyana, Mr. D. Brent Hardt, was apprised of the operations of Food for the Poor (FFTP) in Guyana when he visited the Festival City location last Monday in response to an invitation from the organisation.
The Ambassador was given the opportunity to view a collage of pictures illustrating past projects, items for distribution to the poor which were on display, and a DVD depicting the work of the organisation.
He also had discussions with the Chairman and Senior Managers of FFTP pertaining to the role and nature of the work of the organisation in Guyana in assisting the poor and needy and the support received from donors and sponsors in the USA.
The members of the organisation expressed their appreciation to the Ambassador for visiting the entity by presenting him with a small token.
