The selectors of Georgetown Cricket Association have named a strong team for the much anticipated Guyana Independence T20 Cup scheduled for the Albion Sports Complex, Berbice on May 26.
The team will be led by former West Indies limited over and National middle order batsman, Leon Johnson. It includes exciting young opener, Trevon Griffith, Andrew Lyght (Jr), Berbician Paul Wintz, Derwin Christian and West Indies T20 all-rounder Christopher Barnwell.
The full team reads: Leon Johnson, Trevon Griffith, Andrew Lyght Jr, Robin Bacchus, Shakeel Williams, Christopher Barnwell, Troy Gonsalves, Chanderpaul Hemraj, Saheed Gittens, Paul Wintz, Terrence Forde, Seon Daniels, Jason Heyliger, Keon Morris and Derwin Christian.
Reserves: Pernell London, Randolph Knights and Dexter Solomon.
Coach is Roderick Lovell and Manager Shaun Massiah.
