The decades-old Central Police Station in New Amsterdam is being torn down. Not much is known of the cost or contractor of the project, but it is expected that a new structure will be built at the same spot.
But in the face of this, thieves dared the police and help themselves to a quantity of zinc sheets that were being torn down from the station.
The thieves, using a back entrance, helped themselves to a number of the zinc sheets that were being scattered about.
The police have since put stringent measures in place to curb the practice. They are still to arrest anyone.
