The Republic Bank Linden branch on Thursday awarded special prizes to eight persons after hosting their successful Town Week promotion, geared to give back to the community.
Manager of the Bank, Randolph Sears, addressing the informal presentation at the Bank’s headquarters on Republic Avenue, told recipients and members of the media that it is the bank’s mission to provide personalized, efficient and competitive financial service, along with sound policies that would benefit its customers, staff, shareholders and the communities.
“During the course of March 25 to May 3, we held our promotion, because we really wanted to celebrate with the community. Some customers were eligible for three grand prizes and we are happy to have them here today,” Sears acknowledged.
Those receiving prizes in the adult category were; Latoya Carryl, who won for her second prize, a Samsung Galaxy, and first prize winner Wainwright Bethune, who walked away with an S3 Smart phone.
Linden’s National Grade Six Assessment top students Ashmar Angel and Modeste Hosannah, and CAPE top performer Colin Lucky and CSEC’s Roschelle Sparman were all presented with ‘Right Start gift certificates’ and school supplies.
None of the grade six recipients was on hand to receive their prizes. The gifts were collected by Ashmar’s brother Ricklan Angel and Modeste’s mother Tracy.
