The body that was found on the public road opposite Rubis Gas Station in Providence, East Bank Demerara on Monday has been identified as Steven Rinaldo Tinnie, an ex-worker of Kaieteur News.
Yesterday, a Post Mortem examination performed by Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh gave the cause of death as multiple injuries and a fractured skull.
Dr. Singh explained that Tinnie was drunk and his injuries are consistent with a road accident. There were abrasions to the front and back, suggesting that the body was dragged after it was struck by a vehicle.
The body was discovered by police around 03:00am on Monday with bruises and lacerations. It was taken to the Lyken Funeral Home where it was later identified as Tinnie of D’Urban Street.
