The return of the Masters Karate workshops will take place at Maloney Indoor Sport Complex on Saturday 4th May beginning at 10:00am. This programme was started by the Trinidad and Tobago Karate Federation (TTKF) and features the skill and expertise of accomplished martial arts instructors in the country. Each one has over twenty years experience in their chosen discipline.
The masters will be sharing history and techniques relating to their styles. TTKF began this activity in 2011 as way of educating their many members about appreciating and learning about each other disciplines.
Among the country’s top experts are Anthony Parris (consider the Father of Caribbean Karate), Glenn Forte (Chinese Kung Fu), Roderick Titus (Lionsystem) , Lex Springer (Shotokan Karate), Michael Cromwell (Mark-I Ryu ), John Ramirez (Hakko Ryu Ju-Jitsu), Marcus Ruiz (Aikido), Barry Winter (Freestyle Karate), Michael Smith (Ju-Jitsu and kickboxing), Rodney Ramlal (Kickboxing and Ju-Jitsu), Adam France (Okinawan Goju-Ryu, Hapkido and Kickboxing), and Darryl Williams (Shito-Ryu Karate and Nihon Ju-Jitsu).
