Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Futsal Competition
Favorites T.L.C Shippings Russians and Coomacka United moved into the quarter-finals with narrow wins against their respective opponents as play in the Linden segment of the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Futsal Competition continued on Saturday night, at the Wisroc / Amelia’s Ward Bus Park

Coomacka United scraped past Speightland 1-0 through a Dorwin Daw strike which came in the 18th minute of play in the opening encounter.
In the second game, Silent Assassins eliminated Alikyu 1-0 in a penalty shootout after regulation time failed to break 1-1 deadlock.
Averell Johnson gave Silent Assassins the lead in the 6th minute of play, before Alikyu’s Romain Haynes responded one minute later.
T.L.C Russians then survived a tough encounter against The Amazings. Before prevailing 2-1 thanks to goals from Shaun Daniels (3rd) and Terrence Brown (12th), while Errol David (4th) had levelled the contest initially.
Star Boys then took a similar route to Silent Assassins with a penalty shootout win against Trainline Warriors, prevailing 2-1 after regulation time ended 1-1 with Lynden Nicholson (2nd) and Romell Matthews (13th).
Wisroc then beat Classic Six 1-0 through a goal from Orande Wills, who netted in the 8th minute of play.
Half Mile / One Mile recorded a similar margin of victory over Cherokee Park with Seon Brewley’s 14th strike, being the game winner.
Silver Bullets then disposed of Hard Knocks 2-0 with Robin Adams (9th) and Dishawn Freeman (17th), the men on target, while in the final game of the night, Unique Unknowns inflicted a 3-1 drubbing on Mini Bus.
Meanwhile, the Organisers have released the fixtures for the quarter-finals set for this Saturday, at the Wisroc / Amelia’s Ward Bus Park.
In the opening encounter, T.L.C. Shippings Russians square off against Coomacka United and that will be followed by the clash between Silent Assassins and Unknowns, before Silver Bullets take on Star Boys. Half Mile / One Mile tackle Wisroc in the final game of the night.
Three exhibition games are also planned with L.U.C.S.L tackling Bosai; Drivers/Conductors oppose Team Greatness and Coomacka Female takes on their counterparts from Speightland.
