Dear Editor:
I wish to join with others to express my condolences to the family and friends of the late Dr. Dale Bisnauth who passed away recently. I had the privilege of serving as his Permanent Secretary when he was the then Minister of Education and I can attest to his commitment and dedication to the cause of improving the quality of education delivery to the children and young people of Guyana.
Dr. Bisnauth would also be remembered as an author and journalist, having been at one time a regular contributor to the Mirror newspaper and earlier to the Caribbean Contact, which was one of the most sought after newspapers in Guyana during the pre-1992 period. I used to enjoy his columns which were highly critical of dictatorial and undemocratic rule that obtained at the time.
He has certainly made his contribution to the cause of a better Guyana. May his soul rest in peace!
