Hackett wins 2013 Demerara Mutual Golf title
Brian Hackett was crowned champion of the 2013 Demerara Mutual Medal Play golf tournament played at the Lusignan Golf Club Saturday.
Hackett shot net 70 from gross 93 playing off 23 handicap to claim the title in a very competitive day of golf.

Maurice Solomon, a Director of Demerara Mutual copped the second position with net 71 from gross 92 playing off 21 handicap. William Walker secured the third position with net 73 from gross 79 and six handicap. Walker also had the best gross of 79.
Nearest to the Pin was Fazil Haniff.
Jerome Khan, President of Lusignan Golf Club thanked Demerara Mutual for sponsoring the tournament once again. Solomon said that Demerara Mutual was very appreciative of sponsoring the tournament and he thanked the players for participating.
Beacon’s Ministries will sponsor this weekend’s Medal Play tournament starting at 12:30 hours.
Meanwhile, the Annual General Meeting of the Club will take place on April 13th starting at 16:30 hours. High on the agenda will be the President’s Report, Treasurer’s Report and Election of Office Bearers.
