Guyanese all-rounder Deon Ferrier stroked a fine un beaten 109 as Aranguez took first innings points from Merry Boys in a drawn game when action in the Trinidad and Tobago National Premier League 2 day competition continued last weekend.
At Merry Boys ground, Aranguez batted first and rattled up 346 all out with Deon Ferrier leading the way, he was supported by Kellon Carmichael 60, Jonathon Cabralis 50 and Idrees Mohammed 41.
Ferrier and Carmichael put together a brilliant 7th wicket partnership of 128. Bowling for Merry Boys Javed Ramdhanie took 3-49.
In response Merry Boys were restricted to 265. Troy Cornelius Made 59, Alcindo Holder 53 and Amir Jangoo 33. Ferrier captured 4-60, Malcolm Ramlogan 3-58 and Kellon Carmichael 2-50. Batting a second time Aranguez were 86-5 when the match came to an end. Ferrier was named man of the match.
