The President and Executive of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) have extended congratulations to Joseph Anthony ‘Reds’ Perreira on the National honour awarded to him by the Government of St. Lucia on that country’s Independence Anniversary, February22nd, 2013.
Pereira was awarded the St. Lucia Medal of Merit Silver for his outstanding contribution to Sport and Administration on that Island.
He was appointed Sports Organiser for the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), but headquartered in St. Lucia. The Guyanese was very active in the organising and development of various activities in the country.
The GCB said it shares the pride he obviously feels and hopes he will continue to have the strength, the energy and the interest to enhance sport in this part of the world.
