– Tilkuram slams 96 for Letterkenny
The 2013 New Building Society Second Division 40-Over Cricket Competition in Berbice continued recently with former Essequibo and Guyana Under-19 and Under-15 cricketer Andrew Williams slamming 61 N.O. and former Guyana Under-19 batsman Leon Williams 63 to steer Tucber Park to 197 for 8 against Police. Then their teammate Orlando Tanner took 6 for 25 from 5.5 overs which together with 3 for 5 from 4 overs from left arm spinner Gavin Moriah Jnr decimated Police for a mere 43 in reply.
After Alness made a fairly challenging total of 200 for 8 in their 35 overs against Letterkenny Young Star, the latter team’s No. 3 batsman for Berbice, Under-19 cricketer Parasram Tilkuram blasted 96 with nine fours and six sixes to lead them to victory in just 27.3 overs.
Gershon Barran hit 89 to spearhead Flying Star of Kortheberaadt of East Bank to 193 in 27 overs against Edinburgh who could have only responded with78 in 16.4 overs with pacer Kenton Grumble doing most of the damage by taking 5 for 30 from 6 overs.
East Bank’s victory over Overwinning Bible Church was mainly due to Abdul Latiff’s 58 and left arm pacer Ryan
Seecharran’s 5 for 34 from 6 overs.
Also registering a 5-wicket haul was Sheriff Rayman of Rising Youth.

Edinburgh 78 in 16.4 overs with Kenton Grumble 5 for 30, Clifford Fraser 3 for 20.
At Edinburgh, East Bank beat Overwinning Bible Church by 21 runs.
East Bank 151 in 29 overs with Abdul Latiff 58, Winston Rose 38, Carl Peters 2 for 6.

At Sisters, Kortheberaadt Seventh-Day Adventist Church beat Rising Youth by 49 runs.
