– ahead of March 2 showdown with Linden
Georgetown’s senior basketball team go into preparation tonight ahead of its March 2 showdown against Linden. The duel was originally scheduled for this weekend, but has been put to March 2 to give the teams more time to prepare for the epic battle.
The Linden Amateur Basketball Association (LABA) had earlier this week named its squad, and should also be stepping up its preparation. Georgetown Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) yesterday released its squad that will commence practice tonight.
The GABA squad includes: Travis Burnette, Royston Siland, Stephon Gillis (Pacesetters); Morty Williams, Drumson McCullay, Hodayah Stewart (Republic Bank Nets); Shelroy Thomas, Dave Causway (Colts), Marlon Chesney (Guardians); Ryan Gullen, Ryan Stephney, Jermaine Slater, Rodwell Fortune, Tyrone Hamid, Akeem Kanhai (Ravens).
The Georgetown Coaches are Robert ‘Bobby’ Cadogan (Pacesetters) and Darcel Harris (Ravens) for the battle against Linden. Practice starts tonight at 7pm at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall and will continue ahead of the March 2 game at the Sports Hall.
