Dear Editor,
Like other concerned Guyanese, I cannot help but be concerned about the number of criminal commissions that have occurred in Guyana, since the commencement of the New Year.
Along with reported murders, robberies and other types of crimes; we had the critical shooting of the General Secretary of the PNC/R, Mr. Oscar Clarke last week.
Editor, this state of affairs cannot be tolerated and longer and I call upon the ministry of home affairs and the nation’s security forces to take urgent steps in order to arrest this situation before it gets further out of hand.
I believe that homeland security is a cornerstone of a nation’s existence.
