The Albert Bentick Championships will return to the local basketball calendar this weekend after a brief hiatus. The United States-based Albert Bentick last evening handed over the championship trophy that will be up for grabs.
The four teams that will compete in the competition are Pacesetters, Republic Bank Nets,
Representatives from invited clubs pose with the United States-based, Albert Bentick (second, right) last night on the Burnham Basketball Court ahead of the this weekend’s tournament.
Colts and Ravens, which were all selected after finishing among the top four teams in the just concluded Phillip George Legacy tournament.
Pacesetters will play Nets, who defeated them in the Phillip George contest, in the first game at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall from 7pm tonight while Ravens compete against Colts in the second game.
The winners of both games will play tomorrow night in the finals while both losers will play in the third place game. Ravens come into this weekend’s contest as the favourites after winning the Phillip George Legacy trophy from Nets.
