Surinamese coming to back their athletes
With mere days away from the inaugural Flex Night International Bodybuilding and Fitness Show at the National Cultural Centre, the organizers, Flex Night Incorporated last weekend took the opportunity to promote the event at last weekend’s Mr. Suriname Bodybuilding Show in the Dutch speaking country.
The Flex Night International and Health and Fitness Expo enjoyed special promotion at the event where a desk was set up in the rear of the auditorium that displayed Flex Night information and souvenirs.
Many patrons took the opportunity to visit the desk to request information about the Flex Night International, about visiting Guyana and about life in Guyana generally.
A large number of bodybuilding fans and supporters from neighbouring Suriname are expected in Guyana on Friday afternoon to support the delegation from the Suriname Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation that will be competing in the Flex Night International and Health and Fitness Expo at the National Cultural Centre, this Saturday, December 8.
The Suriname team was selected following the Mr. Suriname Championships held on Saturday last at the Congress Hall in Paramaribo.
The athletes selected to compete are Mr. Suriname 2012, Koese Soepe (Under 154 pound class); Jurgen Tjoekoemba (155-165 pounds class); Melvin Tolud (166-176 pounds class) and Wendel Selmo Pawiro (over 176 pounds class).
A total of 23 Guyanese, mainly from Fitness Paradise Gym, attended the Mr. Suriname event to give support to the Suriname bodybuilding authorities and to drum up travel to Guyana for Flex Night International.
