Dear Editor,
I am a Psychologist, at the PhD level of Guyanese origin, living in the USA. It has been over nine months now that I have recognised the need for psychologists in Guyana and have offered the Government of Guyana my service for free but they showed no interest.
Although, government knows my pledge and they know of the need for Psychologists in Guyana, they refuse to bring help to the people.
The people of Guyana need to know that Government is depriving them and putting their own interest above them.
This is the lowest act of humanity and can be a Human Rights Issue. It is very sad. Our people need help and Government is showing no interest. Government is deceiving the people.
An article in the newspaper needs to address this issue for the sake of the betterment of the people of Guyana. I look forward to working with you on such an article.
