Spearheaded by popular United States-based businessman and philanthropist, George Subraj, the Sevak-Zara Health Project, a medical outreach, has been planned for the Region Three community of Cornelia Ida and its environs.
The outreach will be facilitated by Kidney Surgeon Dr. Rahul Jindal of the Walter Reed Medical Centre in Washington D.C. and Kidney Specialist Dr. Thakor Patel of the Department of the United States Navy.
The visiting team, which is collaborating with the Saraswati Vidya Niketan (SVN) School, has plans to visit schools and communities in order to screen persons, at no cost, for high blood pressure, diabetes, heart conditions, and to educate them on water sanitation as well as to promote lifestyle modifications.
This large scale outreach is expected to have a long lasting impact on the delivery of health care in the Region Three area.
