Mohir Ramsawack, a homeless man appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on a charge of simple larceny and pleaded not guilty.
On October 2, last, he allegedly stole two cases of empty bottles which belonged to the Amerindian Affairs Ministry.
Ramsawack told the court that he has no fixed place of abode and no relatives who would give him shelter. As a result, he was remanded into police custody until November 2.
