Nineteen-year-old Gail Rebeiro (third from left) of St. Ignatius, Central Rupununi was crowned Region Nine’s Amerindian Heritage Month Queen last Saturday night at the annual pageant which was held at the St Ignatius Benab.
With the crown, Rebeiro has won the right to represent region nine at the National Amerindian Heritage Pageant.
Rosie Baretto (second from left) of Central Rupununi is the First Runner-up, while Sunita Allicock (third from right) of North Savannah, copped the third prize.
