Dear Editor,
We the concerned employees will like to bring to your attention an ugly monster that is being practised in GT&T and supported by ATN. The monster we are alluding to is the ‘race card’ for choosing the two top posts — the CEO and CFO positions within GT&T.From 1997 to present those two positions were held by one ethnic group. We the concerned employees are saying that GT&T is sucking up to the Government of the day. The Government does not like GT&T.
When it was in the opposition, it was totally against the sale of the then GTC (now GT&T). The government is on record saying all sorts of things against GT&T then and now.
ATN and GT&T are not carrying out a fair selection. They prefer to play the race card but it will continue to backfire or face the consequences once again.
