The court was told that on the day in question, at Dennis Street, Campbellville ,the defendant rode up on bicycle and snatched the plaintiff’s purse which contained her cell phone, cash, keys and other items and quickly rode off.
The woman raised an alarm and public spirited citizens came to her rescue and arrested the defendant.
In admitting to the crime, Saul explained that he was hungry and did not know what to do.
The boy claimed that his parents are unaware of his whereabouts. He also claimed that he is 18 years old.
The magistrate adjourned the matter to September 14 and requested probation report on the defendant since she was unsure of his age.
