Reconfiguration of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC)’s Accident and Emergency Unit’s will commence on September 10 with works to improve the unit’s ‘Waiting and Triage’ areas end on September 14.
According to GPHC, “completion of this exercise will significantly improve the services offered at the ‘waiting and triage’ areas.”
The reconfiguration will see the addition of two examination beds, two nurses’ desks and one doctor’s desk. The waiting area will be shifted to the northern end of the unit for easy access to washroom facilities.
