Amerindian heritage month is upon us once again and the organizers of Cavalier Sports and Tour Club (CS&TC) would commemorate the event with a 10K race walk around the inner circuit of the National Park on Sunday September 9 next starting at 06:30hrs.
Rudolph Mitchell has dominated the local racewalk scene and despite the efforts of other top walkers, continues to distinguish himself among the lot. The prolific athlete has so far compiled an unbeaten record of 118 victories on the trot and will be out to improve that figure though other competent walkers have signaled an intention to participate in the event.
The race is expected to attract the local cream of the crop and participants are asked to convene at the venue at 06:00hrs for a prompt start half an hour later. Once again, walkers will vie for prizes donated by members of the business community including trophies, medals and other prizes.
