Keen rivalry is expected when the Berbice Cricket Board/Tenelec 50 Overs first division semifinals are played off tomorrow. The standard of cricket will be high for most of the ancient County’s top players will be turning out for their respected clubs.
Defending champions Albion will clash with Memorex Bermine at the Albion Community Centre Ground. A star studded Albion will be spearheaded by West Indies players Narsingh Deonarine, Devendra Bishoo, Veerasammy Permaul, Sewnarine Chattergoon and they would be supported by Jonathan Foo, Kandasammy Surujnarine and Gudakesh Motie-Kanhai.
A Young and determined Memorex Bermine are not to be underestimated by Albion as they have players with the caliber of the LaFleur brothers, Eugene and Jamal, Devon Clements, Anthony D’Andrade, Romario Shepherd, Keon DeJesus and former Universal DVD Young Warriors wicketkeeper, Ishwar Singh.
Over at the Area ‘H’ ground, the host, who have played unbeaten so far in the competition, will fancy their chances against Universal DVD Young Warriors. RHTCC will be spearheaded by test player Assad Fudadin, National Under-19 Captain Shawn Perreira, Delbert Hicks, Clinton Pestano, Khemraj Mahadeo, Renwick Batson, Rajiv Ivan and Jason Sinclair.
The Universal DVD Young Warriors who has not defeated the host for a while will be led by veteran all rounder Anil Beharry with support from National opening batsman Richard Ramdeen, Seon and Shimron Hetmeyer, Balram Samaroo, Linden Austin, Kevin Ramdeen and Ameer Rahaman.
Both matches will start at 9:30AM.
