A list of Chancellor Bourne’s outstanding accomplishments would be enlightening

Dear Editor,
Monday’s newspaper carried a story about Minister Manickchand’s public response to Chancellor Compton Bourne’s resignation, in which she decried attempts to vilify his character. Media reports of the disquiet only indicated a loss of confidence in the Chancellor.
Perhaps to set the record straight, the Honorable Minister could apprise the reading public of what she has referred to as his ‘outstanding performance,’ which was behind the reason for renewing the Chancellor’s contract for another term?
I am sure that a list of these outstanding accomplishments would help us all to feel confident that contrary to media reports, things at the University of Guyana have been improving in an outstanding manner and at an outstanding pace.
