Education Minister Priya Manickchand has sought to clear any misconception which has recently surfaced in the media with regards to the ‘termination’ of the Director of the National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD), Mohandatt Goolsarran’s contract.
The Education Minister during a press briefing yesterday at NCERD to announce the release of the National Grade Six Assessment results, stated that while the Ministry has been relatively pleased with Goolsarran’s performance, it remains grateful for the service he provided to NCERD.
The Minister stated that a decision was indeed made for his contract which will end on June 29, to not be renewed for different reasons.
