The South Turkeyen Sports Committee will be staging a Pre-Independence 5-a-side penalty shootout and small goal football competition tomorrow morning on the National Cultural Centre tarmac starting at 09:00hrs.
To date, several teams have enlisted for participation including Sophia, Lodge, Tiger Bay, Vryheid’s Lust, Kitty and East Ruimveldt among others.
Each team is required to pay an entrance fee of $5,000 with a maximum of 7 players. They will compete for trophies donated by Trophy Stall of the Bourda Market. Activities are organized and coordinated by Johnny Barnwell.
