Dear Editor,
A medal of Gold and two Bronze indeed deserves applause for the Guyanese contingent. That applause goes to Jessica Stephenson (Aquatics) and Miss. Foster (Track and Field) at the just concluded CARIFTA GAMES in Bermuda and The Bahamas. I say to the above mention names, keep growing from that experience and continue with intense practice as you go forward with your sports career.
Build your mental capabilities and you will manage to handle hurdles and challenges that await you during your journey. Discipline should also be at an all time high.
If you are fortunate to land some long term endorsement/sponsorship of any kind from the business/corporate community, make every effort to live up to expectations and be decent ambassadors for those sponsors and the flag you represent.
To the other persons who made up the contingent to the CARIFTA GAMES, your respective efforts must be commended and you have now got to take some time out to regroup and review your game plan for other local and overseas meets.
