A double strike by Romel Legall enabled East Ruimveldt Secondary to
scored a 4-0 win over North Georgetown in their Group ‘B’ match of the Scotia Bank/Pepsi Schools football tournament at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue Wednesday afternoon.
Legall scored in the 21st and 59th minutes as his team made light work of North Georgetown.
Ashmelie Barrington and Craig Hughes scored a goal each in the 26th and 31st minutes respectively.
The competition continues tomorrow with three matches at the same venue. Christ Church Secondary will tackle Lodge Secondary in the lone boys’ game at 09:30 hours.
Defending champions North Georgetown Girls will be looking to come out victorious when they oppose newcomers Campbellville Secondary at 10:45.
The final game of the day will bring together Tutorial High and St. Stanislaus College at 12:15 hours.
