When dem boys was small dem use to read de story bout de three bears. All of dem had porridge and all of dem had a bed. One of dem come and find a woman sleeping in he bed. He didn’t do she nutten and he didn’t burn down de house.
Lil Red Riding Hood find a wolf sleeping in she grandmother bed and she didn’t burn down de house but a man in Guyana find another man sleeping in he house wid he woman and he burn down de house. Dem boys seh that he shoulda tek a page from dem fairy story.
If he so brave to burn down de house wid he wife and children then he shoulda be brave enough to stand de consequences. He run away and dem boys sure that he sit down peeping through some window at every sound and he regret wha he do.
Is de same thing happen de other day when dem politicians go to parliament and learn that de opposition intend to cut de budget. All dem government people decide fuh cry how dem don’t have job no more but when de government decide to cut ads from de private media nobody didn’t think ‘bout job cut.
But dem boys seh that a strange thing happen. Dem tun off de TV station in Linden. Dem didn’t tun off de station in Berbice and dem relay station in Essequibo. But is not only dem. GPL get spiteful. Dem boys seh that since Sunday de power company tun off de lights in Lethem. De excuse is that some generator breakdown, but people believe is spite.
Dem have private people waiting to tek up de slack. If NCN shutdown, nuff private people gun rush in to tek de place and dem wouldn’t want subvention and dem would employ all dem people who wukking there. When Vieira sell he TV station, Bobby grab it and de staff. Nobody didn’t lose a job. Suh dem boys want to know wha all de fuss is about.
Uncle Donald shoulda protest too. He money get cut too. But dem boys ain’t see he protesting, dem ain’t seeing he holding no vigil. And GPL money cut too. All of dem shoulda protest. All dem GPL people shoulda deh cutting off lights right now and refusing to mek connections till de money put back. `
One thing fuh sure. Anytime de AFC and APNU office get any problem, GPL ain’t coming to fix it.
Talk half and wait fuh dem other cuts.
